Got my blue belt (Karate Update)...
by Hecklerboy inwent for my belt test this weekend.
i was testing for a blue belt and passed with flying colors.. also while doing some research on some martila arts forums i came across an article about martial arts and the bible.
it's gives some interesting points to argue when family members say it's wrong to train in the martial arts.. martial arts and the bible.

It invokes the feelings in me of how much lawn gnomes creep me the freak out, and why the hell a sane person would populate their manicured lawn with gnomes that are obviously the spawn of the devil.

How many remember the 15 min break Between the Public Tlk and WT Study?
by Wasanelder Once inas kid i remember a break of 15 minutes between the public talk and the wt study.
all the new ones and "weak" ones ran out to smoke.
loved to see the attendant round them up to come back in when the droning began again.

Yes I remember the breaks quite well. Used to go outside with my buddies and bs dreading the bald headed elder that would always stick his head out the door to tell us the WT study was starting. We would stretch those breaks as long as possible which usually meant a reaming from my parents if we got way out of line.

Oh Legolas, football is sublime. Its an amazing thing to get 11 people all moving and working in unison on a well crafted play. There is speed, grace, power, and pure athletic skill displayed on every play. Its war but happily no one dies.
HL and Tal, I am an Ohio State fan, learned that on my dad's knee. Was there a more exciting game than the Ohio State v. Miami for the national championship ever?

With material like that you've got to wonder if by the end of the assembly the folks in the audience won't be drawing flies.
Those titles are just too much. Who comes up with that tripe? Do a bunch of people actually sit around and say oh yeah, that' profound up there at Bethel? Do they have one functioning brain cell in the whole place?
